Timetable BJC Muay Thai Kidz Karate
Junior FightClub

After the recent success of some of our junior club members at a competitive level, Kalamunda Kickboxing is proud to announce the commencement of Junior Fight Club in September 2005.

Junior Fight Club will be open to male and female students between the ages of 10 and 15, and they must have prior consent from both their parents and a nominated school representative. No experience in martial arts is necessary, as all skill levels from beginner to advanced will be able to train.

Under the direction of Murray McKechnie, owner and manager of Kalamunda Kickboxing, Junior Fight Club will train students in the ancient martial art of Muay Thai Kickboxing, in both style and values. Above all else, the student must show strength of mind and dedication to training, as well as a determination to strive for their full potential.

The club aims not to train students for competitive fighting, but rather to train students at the level of competitive fighters, without the pressure of the fight itself. Students who achieve a high level of training and commitment may be allowed supervised sparring whilst wearing protective gear.

Kalamunda Kickboxing has long been behind some state, national and international Muay Thai Kickboxing fighters, with regular success both in and outside of the ring. Murray McKechnie was also Head Coach of the International Australian Muay Thai Team who successfully competed in Russia in 2005.

Training will be from 5-6pm every Monday and Wednesday, and held at the Kalamunda Kickboxing Club, where all protective gear, floor mats, and training mirrors are provided
